Complaints against the Police and Crime Commissioner.
None of the Complaints that have been brought to the attention of the Commissioner have been upheld by the Police and Crime Panel.
Alun Michael was first elected as the Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales on 21 November 2012 and then re-elected on the 5 May 2016 with 204,874 votes (68.1%). A majority of 108,814 votes over his nearest rival.
During this entire period only 7 complaints have been brought to the attention of the Police and Crime Panel. The Specified Information Order only requires the Commissioner to list the actual number of complaints (whether or not they are substantiated). In the interests of transparency Alun Michael has provided further details about each complaint in the table below. The identity of the complainants has not been published in order to respect their confidentiality.
